Miles Nghiem

Miles Nghiem began his cello studies at the age of five with Susan Gagnon. He currently studies at the Phil and Eli Taylor Performance Academy for Young Artists at the Royal Conservatory of Music, where he continues to refine his artistry and passion for performance.

Miles has been recognized for his artistic conviction and expressive playing, earning numerous awards including Royal Conservatory of Music Regional Gold Medals, the Ann Southam Award, and the National Mary Gardiner Award for Performance Excellence at the Toronto Contemporary Showcase. He has also achieved First Place at the Toronto Kiwanis Music Festival, the Star MVP Music Festival, and the OMFA Provincial Finals, as well as Second Place at the Canadian Music Competition National Finals.

Beyond music, Miles enjoys traveling, exploring new cultures, and studying new languages. He is currently a Grade 6 student at the Lycée Français de Toronto.
